have a look at this, it is a page on the wurfflein rifle man were they nice guns pity h&r dont fit there barrels into a stub like wurfflein did .then it would be easy to fit a octagonal barrel on the buff classic.or any of there guns.

its a pitty they went out of production they look to be very well made.imagine what they would be like with modern steel i have bin told you can still pic them up but they would sell for top dollar.

octagon barell on h&r

nice looking rifles    its no problem to fit octagon barells to the h&r i have two  blask powder  barells  that a smith buddy of mine    put on  i cant do it but  all it takes is  to fit the under lug   and  he makes a breech  plug that screws in  and  uses a 209 primer   but i guess u could do  center fire  barells as well
