long distance p dog gun???

ive discovered my .223 comes up seriously short for long distance prairie dog work, and am looking for suggestions. i'm looking for a left handed bolt gun (factory production) for touching little critters out at 800-1000yds. any idea's as to what caliber and rifle?? 8)

Personally I like savage for this. I have a 110 tactical in 25/06 in a Chote varmint stock weighted down to 18lbs that works just wonderfully for pd's at that range. But the weight of the gun makes it easy on me recoil wise. You might look at the Savage 16FLSS in 243, or the 111FL in 25/06.   KN

A 22-250 or 6MM will do the job quite well, less recoil and more fun.
