He did mention WMD, among many other things..such as shooting at pour planes in the "no-fly zone", refusing the weapons inspectors free access, brutal treatment of political dissidents and about a hundred other reasons for halting the Saddam Hussein dictatorship..
   
   No; it was the lunatic Left that "dragged" the WMD argument out...and then with help from the left-leaning media...tried to pretend it was the ONLY treason...another " lie by ommission ".

TM7. Sorry, no link, only memory from the first gulf war. I remember it plainly because it struck me that there were people who said that God didn't perform miracles any more. If doing a 180 degree turn at the beginning of the ground war isn't a miracle, I don't know what is. Surely somebody else remembers this. POWDERMAN.

Well boys, let's see here-
These folks have been killing each other since the old, old days and, sad to say we have been real unsucessful in our attempts to put a stop to it.
Seems we have been past this old leaning oak before-somewhere in Viet Nam.
Time we tended to our own business--we aint real good at fixin ourownselves.
I doubted the weapons thang from the beginning but daddy's little boy did as he was told.
I would say there was not one single, good reason for us goin back there but those that want to believe it, and I know the real reasons for it, just will not listen anyway.
This is a dead horse and the vet went home for a drink.

WILLIAM. Can't agree with you. The whole world believed saddam had wmds. Several convoys of russian trucks were seen time and again crossing into syria, no doubt in my mind thats where the wmds went. Even the dumcraps said he had them and needed to be stopped, uhhhh, til election time. The first time saddam refused to allow the inspectors in a location, the inspectors should have returned the next day, if refused again, the site should have been totally destroyed. The process should have been repeated as necessary. His non compliance with the UN in an agreement he agreed to and signed was enough to invade iraq. The world is better off without him. I deeply regret the loss of American lives. The Godless ones have killed about 100,000 of their own the past few months. I believe that evil must be fought wherever it is found. It's true that America gives more in money and blood than any other nation to fight evil, but maybe it's because God has blessed us more than the rest. We have more than any nation in the world, and appreciate it less than any of them. POWDERMAN.

Our only mistake in re-engaging Iraq was that we didn't assign the task exclusively to the Air Force.  After a reasonable warning-time (24 hours) that compliance with U.N. resolutions would be required, or certain consequences would be forthcoming, one missile should have removed a large part, or all of Baghdad.  If that wasn't enough to cause compliance, then several more cities and towns should have been incinerated.

We should quit sacrificing our young warriors unnecessarily.  That's what nukes are for.

On a strickly moral ground it's very difficult to justify using nukes or even extremely large conventional bombs on a general population center.  Military targets no problem........... an entire city which includes Christians by the way............ that's something we need to avoid!

The only time I might go along with that is if we know the country has a nuke of their own and they are preparing or planning to us it on us........ then it would be best to strike first.

I would not concur with speculation as proof. I have followed this pretty closely and if we did not find any WMD in 10 years I would have need of more concrete evidence of them. Trucks moving "something" to syria is not evidence.
These convoys as they were called came from areas already declared void of any WMD's. Takes a bit more to convince me.
I would think that all of this was very politically motivated by persons with monitary gain as the main objective.
To declare these folks a Godless and use this as declaring them fair game is sensless, in my opinion. they have been godless since 600AD and, well, since Abraham, but then so has most of the world. We put ourownselves up to the same judgement as they if we use Christianity as a legal right to kill anyone who is not in agreement. Christ came to save not kill and that is the charge he gave to us.
Protect ourownselves is OK but this situation is beyond the scope of that--again--in my opinion.

WILLIAM. They hadn't been declared free of wmds because inspectors had not been allowed in. There have been a number of arty shells found that held poison gas. Yes, they have been Godless since 600 AD. They are satans disciples bent on the destruction of Christianity. Satan tried to destroy Jesus while Jesus lived on this earth. He used mohamed to try to do what he was unable to. His goal, then, and now, is to destroy everything that Jesus Christ did, taught, and built, Christianity itself.  That is islam in a nutshell.
