Hodgdon Trailboss in 50-70

My order of Trailboss came in yesterday, and I got to try it today in my 6 1/2" T/C.  This stuff is going to work great!.  I was trying to tone down my initial loads to 850 fps.  15 grs. of Trailboss comes almost to the base of the bullet, and averages 868 fps.  Close enough to 850 for me!  This stuff burns VERY clean, no leading, and while I couldn't shoot many groups, looks like it will run around 1" @ 50 yds.  I'll have to shoot alot more to be sure, but this is looking good.

Are you still having the unlocking issue?

Redhawk1, It looks like if I keep vel. below 1000 fps.  it doesn't have a problem.  I tried reducing my Unique loads to 14 grs., and velocity was still crowding 900 fps. which surprised me again.  With 14 grs. I need a filler, or the occasional shot produces a big velocity variation (100 fps.).  This Trailboss stuff is so fluffy that it fill the case at the speed I want.  No fillers, and very consistant, a perfect combo.  For an oddball gun/cartridge combo that I was worried I wouldn't get any performance out of, this one is surprisingly easy to get going, the biggest problem has actually been slowing it down with a reliable load.  Thanks
