Garand grease

have some STOS grease (Slicker Than Owl S***) that works great in my auto shotguns and 1911-1A .45.
Will that be ok for the Garand instead of Lubriplate grease?

Okay, let me rephrase that;
What type of grease do you use for the Garand?
Maybe we can start a poll?
Lubriplate?
Tetra?
STOS?
Ace HardwareAll Purpose Lithium Grease?
Axle/Bearing grease?
Petroleum jelly? :lol:
