My dealer has quoted me a price of $1,935 for a .475 Premeir 83 with Express sights and a price of $2,365 for the same gun with a octagonal barrel. This is pre-tax. What do ya'll think of this price?

Doesn't sound grossly out of line. He's making a bit more profit than my local dealer is willing to settle for but for sure it's not excessive. I doubt he's making over $200-250 on the deal.

FYI the dealer price is $1630 for an 83 and $1320 for a mod. 97. $1259 for a field grade. Extra cylinders are $211.

There is also a $40 per gun shipping fee the dealer is paying. So $1630 plus $40 equals $1670 from the $1935 and the dealer would be making $265 which is real close to the margin I quoted. My local guy will order them for a $100 profit.

At $211.00 maybe my dealer will get me a extra cylinder at cost. I wonder if Freedom makes a .480 Ruger.

FA makes a .480 cylinder, yes.
