Uberti 1860 and New Army Pics
« on: July 01, 2006, 12:44:42 AM »
Finally got around to taking a couple of photos of my two Ubertis. Just thought I'd share. These are the two cheapest guns I own and I have a ton more fun shooting them than any of the others.

You can easily see in the pictures where I have filed down the front sight on the New Army to raise the POI.

Nice lookin Uberti! ;) I have always wanted to get me a 1860 army black powder pistol. Just something about them I have always loved! Sure wished they made a conversion for them.

steveb, they do make a conversion, by R&D, it is a 5 shot 45Colt, SASS legal as it has safe positions between the live chambers (10 locking notches).  Check Taylors website or R&D Gunshop's website.  Cost about $250.

I have one, it works.  You must remove the barrel to load and unload, so it is not as fast or handy as the Remington conversion.

Nice photos, MG66.
