while i've found a couple of loads that shoot well in my new 26" .260 encore barrel, all loads are at least 1 grain below published max. if i try to get up to max published data i start getting cratered primers. with the 26" barrel i figured i would be able to break the 3000fps barrier with 120grainers, but all i can muster is 2900fps with no high pressure signs. i'm currently using H4350, H414, IMR4831 and H4831 with winchester primers. bullets are nosler 120grain BTs and Speer 120grain hotcors.
