I have a low cap Romanian WASR-10 and have had absolutely no problem with it.
The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70..it's almost a religion.

The brand new Russian Izhmash manufactured Saiga it comes in a sporter wrapper but its the samey/same as a russian ak receiver and it comes in 7,62x39,  .223rem and 308win too.  Remember its a brand new russian made ak at very affordable prices too and they are very accurate and much more accurate over there ak brothers too.

I was never fond of AK47's nor did i ever want one until i got my very first saiga in 308win. I did purchase it for hunting but its a dual role rifle too, it can handle the heavy use for plinkin and hunting too with its chromed lined barrel and chamber.  All the russian made saiga's have chrome lined barrels and bores.  When i seen the russians offer a sporter rifle in the AK47 design how can you pass up such a deal?

On a good day with 308 south african ball ammo my saiga is shooting 1 1/2" groups off the bench and i'm sure that reloading can tighten it up even more.  Other guys are having outstanding accuracy at 200 thru 500 yds with there saiga's.

Wow!  That's fantastic.  Most FAL's, Cetme's, etc. won't come near that.  Even my last Remington 700 in .308 wouldn't shoot much better than that.  I may have to order one.   ;D  I've seen some going for around $350.  Have you modified the rifle at all (bedding, etc.)?  Do you have the 16" or 20" barrel?  What do extra mags cost you?  thanks again

i bought a plain ole romainian a couple years ago at the tulsa show for 280$ its whats goin for aroun 350$ now. i sure cant complain on the functioning, cant remember it ever jamming and we never clean it. cant say for sure on group size as we just use it for plinking but it will hit a rock half the size of yur head every time at 100 yrds with cheap stinky ammo.just wish i had bought 3 or 4 more of them at the same time.

I think you would be hard pressed to find any unrealiable kalishnakov action.  I have never seen in my life a problem with feeding or jamming with any AK.  I personally own a romanian wasr-10, and have shot chinese and russian AK's - All with the same results.

The current edition of Shotgun News has a big article evaluating all the different versions of the AK.
Aim small don't miss.
