Colt Combat Commander
« on: July 14, 2006, 07:15:29 AM »
Well, this is the one I bought/sold/bought back again with the Bar-Sto barrel.  Just got done with a shooting session and I'm impressed so far.  I still have to run a few hundred rounds through it hot and dirty to check reliability, but she's doing great so far.  She still needs a trigger job (got to be about an 8# trigger!) and I still have a Wilson beavertail coming for it.  Next I'd like to put slim grips on but she's pretty good to go other than that.

Lloyd, that's your 230 flat nose g.c. cast bullet that you gave me to try over 4.6 gr of Titegroup.  I had to play with the over all length some to feed reliabily in the Commander and the Gov't model but she's great so far.  Look's like a great woods walking 1911 load!  44 Man

44Man, that gun was made for "serious social situations" and judging by that target, anybody who get sideways of you is going to be in SERIOUS trouble!!  ;D  Great look'n gun.
