I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?"
Well, to tell the truth I shoot a Springfield XD so it doesnt really matter.

The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor because the one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.

Nice.

Does the squared trigger guard give you any problems?

I dont own it yet, but the square trigger guard is nice, its a law enforcement mod so you can wear gloves and still get it in the trigger guard with no problems, which i dont live in real cold weather climates so i wont really be wearing gloves unless i was out hunting then i dont know if i'd carry the 40 or not.

Squared trigger guards usually do not work well with Inside the waist belly bands which is how I carry during the warmer months.

All belly band holsters that I have seen have a rounded stiched for the trigger guard. Carrying a gun with a squared trigger guard either doesn't fit well in the belly band or wears a hole in the pouch resulting in it being less secure. A regular holster designed for the gun eliminates this problem but for ME, belly bands are the only way that I can effectvely conceal a firearm during the warmer months.

Good choice on the HK. I have been carrying a HK comp 40 for 2 years now. I use a Galco inside the pants holster most of the time. But I also have a belt hoster that I use in colder months.  I use 180 grain Gold Dots.

I carried and shot one for a few years.  Shot thousands of rounds thru it and never had any failures of any kind.  SOld it to my uncle and he is still carrying it and hasn't had any problems with it either.  It is the only auto I have ever had that went 100% for feed, fire, extract with so much shooting.  It is a very good durable handgun.

HUMMMMM, cyberspace is amazing. I will post again.
Most good makers of holsters can provide Leather for square trigger guards.
Check out Horseshoe Leather.
H&K's seem to be as reliable out of the box as my Sigs.

I carried a USP 40 for 5 years and thousands of rounds...No problems at all. I upgraded to a P2000 which is a little nicer gun. FWIW all BP agents are now using P2000's. The Beretta's have gone away. ;D
