The Bushnell 4200 is about the best scope out there in that price range. They are made in the Philippines I think.  The warranty is no questions asked for two years and lifetime after that.  Bushnell will honor warranties.  You'll get more for your money with Bushnell.

Since you like Zeiss I'd get a Conquest. I have a Burris Signature and it's my favorite scope. My son has a Nikon Monarch 3x9 and I'd take it over a Leupold any day. Bushnell Elites have the Rain Guard coating and it works as advertised. I know from experience the Rain Guard works. My B&L binocular has it.

Ya bought a european rifle, might as well go with european optics........

If it were me however, I'd take a Leupold any time......

Im most impressed with the Conquest as well. SO if you got the money go with them. John has some excellent deals right now on them. http://www.theopticzone.com/
I would go Ziess, Kales, or Weaver Grand Slam...for the money they have awesome glass.
Gold Rings are great quality too, no doubt,  but these fit my eyes better.

With out a doubt, I would go with a Leupold also. As a matter of fact, I did. I have a 300 Win Mag Tikka with a Leupold VaraXIII 3.5X10X50 and it is a tack driver.

I would also recomend the Bushnell 4200. Also, take a look at the Weaver Grand Slam scopes. they topped Leupold hands down in a test of scopes in this price renge. They were rated a better buy, and better quality, for less money.

I've got a Bushnell 4200 elite 4 X 16 and it's a great scope for sure.....the only thing is it's huge........if weight and size are an issue then this isn't the scope for you........
