I GOT A SCOPE FROM SOMEONE IT MARK BUSHNELL SCOPE SPORTVIEW 4X12X40 MM ALSO HAS ON THE TUBE 74-0412-0 AF AND HAS ADJUSTABLE OBJECTIVES FOR PARALLAX SETTING. LIKE NEW
I WONDER IF THESE WERE MADE IN JAPAN ?
I KNOW THE NEW ONE ARE MADE IN CHINA
I HAD A SP0RTVIEW 3X9 BACK IN 69 ON A SPRINGFIELD FOR SOME 30 YEARS PLUS AND STILL GOING STRONG BUT THAT SCOPE WAS MARKED MADE IN JAPAN

It could be Korea. I had an old 4-12x40ao that was bought in the early 80's that was made in Korea.  A lot of the Sportviews were made in Korea and then later they outsourced to China I think.  Most of the cheaper scopes from any manufacturer are made there now.
