What rubber grips are you currently shooting with?  Some ahrd rubber grips don't add as much recoil comfort as some like the decelerators.  From my limited experience with handguns the wood grips aren't nearly as comfy as rubber ones.  Why trade?

stock rubber good on recoil but it never bothers me and i like the look of wood.  my friend is recoil sensitive it will also help him out too.

Hello Bowhunter,
I assume you are talking about a Thompson Center Encore with a 308 barrel.  If so, I will be here to tell you that the sting with wooden grips is more severe than with the rubber grips.  I have two 308 barrels and I have tried the wooden grips.  I switched to the rubber girps.  Several of my shooting buddies bought the hand made and fitted grips from Bullberry.  They have switched to the rubber grips for recoil reasons.

Unless you get Georgia Jim wood grips. They fill you hand better and help with recoil...at least that's what everyone that uses them claims, and there are a lotta users! Ive never tried them but I am getting a set for my .358jdj. If you go to Specialty Pistols web page and look at the banners at top it will come up there pretty quick, just have to wait a sec. I have heard that they are better than stock rubber but like I said I havnt used 'em yet.
