at what caliber would you start recommending using 2 front scope rings?

Well, to tell the truth I shoot a Springfield XD so it doesnt really matter.

with high recoiling rifles i suppose, but not even the Barrett .50BMG used in the military use two up front. I guess to me its just another precaution someone can take, not needed but an option.
