DGrig... I assume by your questions that you're a new reloader. You should read a few reloading manuals before you get yourself in trouble. You should never just dump in a load of powder on someone's recommendation. You start with a starting load and work up to what works for your individual gun. As for OAL, you will probably want to use the crimping groove that's on the bullet as your guide. That should work fine with the Ruger. You'll probably find your best results with H110, 296, or 2400.
