Good time for those looking for a new project ;D
I wonder where they came from? I thought H&R/NEF wouldn't sell them outright due to legalities ??? Hope we see more in the future 8)

How many lands & grooves do the standard .44 barrels have. Looks like these are Marlin micro groove barrels (says 12 groove). Then you have to get a barrel lug, turn barrel, ream the chamber, add forend lug, extractor/ejector, tap for scope base and/or sights and re-blue.

I would say, ordering a barrel fitted to you receiver would be a bargain when compared to this  blank, unless you aren't looking to put in on a Handi.

I'm betting these barrels didn't perform and that is why they unloaded them. Just doesn't sound like the H&R I know.

My bet is that these were made for H&R and did not meet specs and the manufacturer is just trying to unloading them any way they can .

If it is 13/16" out side it is not a H&R blank - Has to be about 1 1/8".
Gunparts had some at one time also.
