encore trigger pull info

I would like to hear from you guys what are the trigger pull setting you are useing or suggesting for my Encore.  The gun is an Encore with a 26" factory hvy barrel in the 223 rem.  The pull is currently at 4 1/4 pounds. I am thinking of getting it reworked down to 2 pounds. The gun is used for P-Dog shooting and paper punching. Your thoughts would help me decide on what I should get it set to.

thanks for the info.

I installed a bellm trigger spring #4 in my stainless encore .223, trigger pull is now 1lb 14 oz . I use mine for paper punching and small game/predators , It took some getting used to and I dont think it would be the gun I get from the safe for use in a place where gloves would be called for .
Installing the spring was easy and is something you can do yourself , I did mine in about 20 minutes and was reading the instructions step by step as I had never taken apart the encore before but it is a simple install.

Thanks for your replies cknight98 and quicksdraw45. Just to let you know, my hunting days are pretty much over with, can't take the cold and climbing the hills very well any more. But if I was to go out again I would take my trusty Savage Model 99 243 win off the rack and dust it off and use it and not my Encore. I bought the Encore for bench rest shooting of paper and P-dog shooting when it is warm outside.  I just thought it might help my groups by getting the trigger reworked down to about 2 pounds. I am also thinking about getting a 17 rem barrel for it. I think that might be a good addition for those p-dogs.  :-)
Happy shooting, may you hit what you aim at.

:D Well,  I just got my Encore back from the gunsmith and my trigger pull measures 1LB 11oz.  It breaks real clean with no creap at all.  I have not had time to take it to the range yet and do any shooting but plan on doing it this week.  The nest project will be working on piller bedding the forearm.
