Don't have to worry about that with the PC models.  ;D

That 460 sheared the mount screws right off.  :o

great i get mine tomorrow.the 5 inch  but i will not have a scope on i cant think it would sheer off that eazy

It could of been a number of reasons why it sheared, loose mount screws, over tighten of the mount screws. I installed a weaver mount on one of my 500 Mags and shot about 1000 rounds through it, my buddy now owns that 500 Mag with the same mount and he has not had one problem.

Does anyone know what load he was shooting? There is a box of Remington ammo in the clip. The recoil seemed very mild.

Remington does not make 460 Ammo.

Yeah I know ... the remington ammo was most likely 45 colt. there was other ammo in the background.

You got to use screws for the rings even with the PC model, right?  No base screws, but screws for mounting the rings.

I was shooting a contender with a scope one time it was the 357 mag and the scope came off as I fired. It struck me right in my eye luckly I had safty glasses on. It did put a mark on my eyebrow.

I own the S&W 500 with scope also but never had that happen. It has 3 or 4 screws holding it on and they are tight.
