T/C Scout 50 cal

HI Folks
I have just received my used T/C 50 Scout. Can anyone tell me how deep should the ram rod (factory) without the Jag go down the barrel. Just a little worried I may have a flat nose slug down the barrel. My Ram Rod will leave ˝" out without the screw on Jag. Is this correct are do I have a slug in there?
?
Not a revolver but where should I post this question?

Why don't you screw-out the nipple-plug and take a look.

Someone helped me take it down and look. It needed taking down and oiling for safety anyway. It is clear. Just have to be careful with a used firearm.

That good news RM! I'm sure you'll like your Scout.
I've got a .54 TC Scout Pistol and when I get it to the range...it's draws quite a crowd. BIG BANG, BIG HOLES and LOTS OF SMOKE!
Have fun!

How much powder do you guys use in your 54 caliber Scout Pistols? What bullets are the most accurate?
