walker game ear

what is the difference between the original game ear 1 and the game ear 2, is the 2nd one worth the 70$ more than the original? who all uses these models? do you just use them hunting or do you target shoot with them as well? also sites never specify if the 129-199$ price range is for one or a pair of them. thanks

I've used the original and the digital, decided I don't like the over the ear thing cuz I wear glasses and to be comfortable, I need custom ear buds, the foam that came with both of mine was real uncomfortable after a while. I ended up getting a pair of Sportears that fit in my ears, no problems with them whatever.

I dont know what model it is but I have a game ear and it is great!  I use it at the range and while hunting.  I recomend getting one for each ear. Just my 2 cents.

You should also look at the Harris Quest Sport ear.  I have the analog in the canal and a custom fit (Costco did the mold at no cost...) in the canal.  Both are great.  I am upgrading the custom fit to the programable digital and expect to get them in the next few days.  I will let you know how they sound.

Being value focused (not cheap) I though the Harris Quest where a better value...

An inexpensive alternative that I've seen some good reviews on are the Radians, both the muffs and the in-ear models.

Atleast for me I would stay away from the muffs.  I wear eye protection when I hunt and after 4-6 hours it gives me a headach.

I am bespectacled and I don't have that problem with muffs, when I'm RO at the range, I'm wearing them from 6-8 hrs, just a range visit will be 4-5hrs, muffs on all the time. Good muffs shouldn't be a problem for eye glass wearers. cheap muffs may be, tho. ;)

i dont like a muffs, i stretched my ears out 3 years ago, so its kind of annoying to put on muffs when you have 3/4 inch metal holes in your ears.

I just saw Sport Ears in canal for $288 per pair on the Walmart site.  :o  I believe this is cheaper than Walkers...
