ruger p90 or glock 19??

hey pards
i am trying to decide which gun to use for every day carry
i currently have the glock but i have owned a ruger p90 before
i like the glock but it is 9mm and i wonder if its enough as i shot a small possum with it the other day that i found on my porch growling at me and it didnt kill him it didnt even slow him down
i like the ruger as it is 45 and it seemed to be more accurate than the glock is
but it is big and harder to carry concealed the glock conceals very easy
i know this sounds like a 9 vs 45 thing and it is in a way and i know shot placement means everything but just wondered what would be your choice between the two and why

If its down to the 2 for CCW I would opt. for the Glock and I dont own either, but weight and comfort are vary important when choosing a CCW because if its just too heavy and unconfortable to carry you wont and it will be home when you need it. ;D   JIM

the 19 does carry alot better

glock and me dont get a long to well but it would be better then that ruger.most rugers are great guns but there center fire autos  just dont gut it ,glocks ore better but there service dept  SUCKS they think there stuff dont stink.
i know some body will jump my case for that but they have theres and i have mine

another i dont like either reply. But ive had a ruger and it ran fine so if I had to pick id pick the ruger just because its ugliness is cheaper.

I own both. P90 and a Glock 22 40/357 Sig. I prefer the  Ruger, more accurate and easier to shoot. When loaded ,the Glock with 15  rounds, the weight is close. Neither have failed me.........both good pistols, but Ruger is a better buy...........

If you like the size and action of the Glock 19, but want a .45------------let me suggest the Glock 36. About the same size as the 19 but in .45. It even fits in your mdl 19 holster. Between the two you mentioned, the Glock simply because of the ease of carry.

If the choice is only between 45 and 9mm, the 45 wins hands down in my book.
Larger diameter means a bigger hole. more weight in the bullet means more penetration. That sounds like what I want - more penetration and a bigger hole. Self defense against bad men is good. Not so good against black bear or other dangerous game but people it will work on.
Personally, I carry a 357 magnum with 140 grain HP's. lots of penetration and a hole that is big enough going all the way through. If I could conceal it and it was legal I would carry a 12 guage - the law and its size prevents me from carrying it.

Well, this still sounds like a 9mm/.45 debate.  Buy the gun, Glock or Ruger, that you feel the most comfortable with, then buy it in the caliber that you want!  If you like the Glock, get a .45 Glock.  Don't pick the P90 just because it is .45, there are LOT's of guns available in .45.  Buy the one you want.  Personally, I prefer my Colt Defender .45 to either.  44 Man

the 1911 is the best like 44 man said but alot of people freek out about having the hammer cooked,i carry a wilson combat at all times

Split the difference. Get a Glock 22 or 23 in 40 cal.  :o

Actually, I liked Savage's idea the best. Get a Glock 36. Then you'd have something small and easy to carry, yet the power of a .45 ACP. Can't go wrong there!

I think Old Griz is right, Bad as i hate to admit it, The 36 would do a great job for you, But the G22 is by far the better caliber in the long run............Joe...........
