finally got some rain, but some got some bad storms

Have had some rain the past 4 days Fri through Mon not steady but some good thunder storms some severe unfortunately. Bayfield had 2 million dollars damage in a storm Sun morning. No real damage wherre I live but I heard some other places got hit pretty good too. The storms we did get dumped some pretty good rain on us so that is a plus. Too bad about the folks that had damage though. In Bayfield the Catholic Church lost its whole roof on one side not just shingles but the whole darn thing. Takes some pretty good straight line winds to do that.

I was camping near Birchwood this past weekend where we got 3 1/4 inches of rain between Friday night and Sunday morning.  Eau Claire is still really dry.  We got a little this morning and expect 2 inches by Wednesday night.

This rain was well needed.  Majority of the crops around here were getting extremely dry.  A bunch of corn fields are gone the rain didn't helped them out. But it has helped out the Blackberries.  I have already picked 6 gallons of them.  Need to pick more for Blackberry wine.
