Sorry guys I have been away for a long time and see that I have a couple of questions in regards to the gun/holster.

I see the pic's have disappeared as well so I'll fix them up as well.

The mount on the 29-4 is from SSK and it's the one they call T'SOB. It's mounted with 3 screws into the barrel.

Yes I do have Leupold quick detach rings. I had to modify them a good bit to work on the SSK base.
Prior to that I had a Burris 1.5x4 mounted in the 3 rings provided by SSK, and then when that scope broke another one after it. Next was an Aimpoint until it came apart and now the 30mm Ultradot. If it breaks this one I don't know what to put on it.
I had a local gunsmith mill a groove down the center of the mount so I could sort of use the factory sights. He also made a very nice under cut Patridge blade for me.

A lot of the ammo was factory stuff. Federal American Eagle 240 grain. My handload is a Sierra or Remington 210 grain behind a reasonably stout charge of WW296. It's below the max charge as listed in the Sierra manuals and quite fast.
I've gone through a bunch of Burris 1.5x4 scopes on my 375JDJ Contender, they just seem to have a short life span.

Is it my imagination or are Broomriders custom grips a more upright angle than the norm?
Reason I ask is because I find most grips are on too much of an angle for my natural hand angle so with an instinctive grip I would shoot guns like the 686 about 6ft high at 10yds.

My old 629-1. I've never photographed a firearm before, but I wanted a picture for this thread. So I pulled out a Pentax 6x7 of the same vintage as the revolver and set it up in the studio. The film just dried a few minutes ago, so here's a scan.

Though it's not double action, it was my first revolver in 1967 and also my first attempt to photograph a firearm today, so the following is submitted for your review:

Another 629-1, recently acquired. Grips are Eagle's ebony "Secret Service," something I'd been curious about how they'd make for a square butt, N-Frame. They made 'em big. I made 'em smaller.
