i have a ultra varmint 243 i was thinking of getting another barell i will be using yhe new barell for my woods barell for deer 30/30 or 30/06 ?

You can never go wrong with an '06 but by choice would be the 30-30 for the woods gun.If you are a reloader you can just flat outdo factory 30-30,if not there are a bunch of 30-30 available Doug

Give me the 30-06. You can always load it down to 30-30 levels, and have the option to load it up way higher. It's just an excellent round with tons of versitility. As is the 308.

Gosh, somebody just gave me a nice Corvette, but it has no engine. What should I put in it...an in-line 4 cylinder, or an LT-1?

308 has almost same ballistic as 30-06, lot less kick.

For deer...go with a 25-06 or 280...both are excellent....of course so are a-lot of others

The 25-06 is one of my favorites. Lots of good times I guess... yep there are lots of other good calibers to pick from to.
