Ultra Fluted Varment ???
«

I am thinking about buying an ultra Varmint fluted NEF in 22-250 Rem. What is the over all opinion of this rifle? I plan to get a custom made 50 cal. smokeless muzzle loader barrel for it also.
Thank you Oldsnow

I also have a fluted .204 and .223 on the cholate stock. Both ate excellent hunters. I can't say they shoot any better than the .223's with a heavy barrel. I have 3 .223's I'm hooked on the handies! Shot some deer (damage stamp) and a bunch of g hogs with them, excellent performance. I know they arn't a 22-250 but i like to watch the target get hit, low recoil on .204 and equal tragectory compaired to the 22-250, just lacks some horse power. I shoot .32 gr hornady balistic tip, 4,200 fps in the .204. Not trying to sell the .204, just saying it works for me. Always wanted a 22-250 and may be my next handy. Good luck and good shooting.

I'll let ya know after my next range trip on Wednesday, I have a couple new loads to try with BL-C2 and H4895 with the 50gr Vmax in my .22-250 Ultra. So far with Rem UMC 45gr JHP factory ammo, accuracy has been poor, but velocity was fair at 3800fps+, just not consistent.

A work of ART! The only thing I have found with the stock is they don't carry or sling as confortable as the other stocks. A small price to pay for the way it fits when shooting. Nice equipment Quickdtoo. I 'de hate to be a ground hog in your neighbor hood!

Thanks! No such things as ground hogs here,
it's nearly a 100 mile drive to the nearest varmints, the California ground squirrel!!
