Barrel twist on the Wesson is the standard 1:18.7 in.

1:14 is the standard twist for the 414. I do not know if this is still true for the new CZ guns.

One of the unique features of the Dan Wesson is that it is equipped with the Lothar Walther barrels from Germany. The barrel is a ten land and groove design which is used on most Dan Wesson models. This statement I do not know if it is also true for the new CZ ownership.

I believe the current twist rates for either caliber, is 1-18.7. If you can find an old 10'' from Palmer,Ma. they had a 1-14 twist.(I have one, and it shoots the heavier 180-200gr bullets real good.) I know a few years ago they we're talking about coming out with some 1-16'' twist barrels, but I could never find out if they did or not. gypsyman

I just got in a newly made 6" barrel and shroud for my 44 DW. (I had the 4 & 8) It says right on the barrel itself 1:18.7. So I guess they are still using it.

I have 2 6" 357 MAX barrels  (one blue, one S/S).   I don't know why the previous owner had 2 the same length.   Are these both 18.75" twists or is one a 16" twist.  The barrel is too short for me to tell by looking down it.

PS  The blued barrel assy is for sale  $100
