Has anyone had any experience with this powder in .45-70? Looks like it will fill the case and eliminate the need for a filler. Have a couple pounds coming Monday or Tuesday. Working on a target load for 420gr. (Lyman 457193), also a hunting load for the same bullet. Will let you know how it goes.

I see Lee has .45-70 data for XMR3100, but the current loading data from Accurate doesn't show it, 5744 and SR4759 would be better choices using less powder for better velocity IMO, neither requires a filler and aren't position sensitive. I use 5744 in my .45-120 BC with less than 50% load density, love it! It's not as clean burning as SR4759 from everything I've read, but I'm happy with it.
