synthetic forend

i notice in pics of the synthetic riffles that where the forend spacer normaly is, that it looks like it is moulded in to the forend as a compleat unit.if this is the case how would they go for wear compaired to the normal spacer,and what would you do when they get a little loose.

Yup...I saw the same thing when I got my 308 Survivor..and worried about it too...That's why I replaced the synthetic stock with a real nice laminated one...and ordered the steel forearm spacer for all of mine...I can't say how long the synthetics will hold up..maybe a very long time..but I just didn't like the way the stocks felt to me...
