Use Hockeytape to fix scope creep

I just read a post about stopping scope creep with lots of info on how to fix it.
Most of the remedies ive used on other guns in the past but currently the only thing
i use is black hockey tape. Stick some on the 3/8 rail, tighten mount......Its there forever.
The stuff gets stickier doue to the pressure over time and requires no effort.

 I've used small amounts of valve grinding compound to great effect. Just a daub inside the dovetail ant that scope is stuck there.
