Hammer Extension too wide. What is it for?
« on: April 07, 2003, 07:47:11 PM »
I recently purchased a couple of hammer extensions at a gun show as part of a great package deal.  One of the hammer extensions is a bit different than I have seen before. It doesn't seem to fit my Contender hammers (too loose).  The opening for the hammer is a bit wider than my other hammer extensions.

This hammer extension is mostly flat and marked "TC RH".  Is this for an older style Contender?  Can anyone tell me what it is for so that I can advertise it properly and sell it to someone who needs it?

Thanks in advance.

I have an older model and we had to do a bunch of filing on the extension to get it to fit the width of the hammer.  I think they may be wider than normal...

All the Uncle Mikes hammer extensions I have seen for a Contender have a serial number on the package and state that it fits that serial number and later frames.  It could be for a Contender, just not yours.
