How do you free float a fore end on the encore. I have a 7mm-08 15inh barrell. stainless steel

I have a stratton custom hangar bar w/ a GA Jim target forend.

I have made acouple of for arms and put a steel plate in the bottom of them to draw the for arm down on the hangers with. I Leave pleanty of space between the barrel and the for arm. The extra trouble does help most barrel shoot better.
