45-70 Load

I have some 45-70 350 grain cast lead Hollow Point bullets and was wondering if anybody has used IMR 4227 with a similliar bullet. My rifle is a marlin 1895.

Micro-Groove or Ballard? What alloy?  Anyways, start at 22 gr and work up to 30 gr in 1 gr increments. Your rifle will tell you where best accuracy is.

400-420 grain bullets are more accurate in my 1895. The 350's just don't group as well as the heavier ones.
