Recivers?

Hey there guys! Long time no talk! well since my last visit here, i have bought a buf clasic in the spectacular 45/70, and i used it to take a nice buck! but im getting ready to go to college and i want to take my nefs w me but i was wondering if the 45/70 barrel would work on my .223 reciver? or vise versa. I duno, i remember hearing somthing about shotgun bar working on rifle rec. and ect, but i just cant rem. anybody out there want to explain to me twice? Thanks fellas!

 Yes Both are SB 2 actions You don't want to use rifle barrels on shotgun
 actions, SB1 actions.,  are you going to have trouble keeping firearms at
 college?  I know I didn't when I went, but that was 55 years ago. Ha!

Ok, so dont use shotgun recivers with rifle barrels. Use rifle receivers with any barrels that fit properly?

Nope not really a problem at all. we can check em in and out 24hours a day at the campus police station. Rifles and handguns have priority over bows and theres no limit to how many wepons you bring, and theres no cost. Now if i could just find a place to reload! I thought about trying to make somthing to where you could reload on the tailgate of a pickup but im still not sure yet.
