.300 mag dies for Encore
« on: August 13, 2006, 03:33:18 PM »
I am getting set up for reloading the .300 mag in an Encore. I load lots of other cartridges, just never a belted magnum in an Encore. I am wondering what dies you all recomend. I have heard all the short comings of Belted magnums and their case life. Would like to get best case life and obviously best accuracy. Also any powder recomendations for 165 and 180 gr bullets would be appreciated. I already have IMR 4350 on hand and am planning on picking up another powder or two that is appropriate for the .300 mag.

Thanks,
Brian

For full length resizing, I prefer RCBS X dies but any fulllength sizing die will work.  For neck sizing (which is what I usually do) I use Lee Collet dies in my Encores.

I use RBS die's and IMR 4350 and 165 gr. Barnes TSX bullets. Works great.  ;D

Thanks guys, I think I will get the Lee collet dies. Neck sizing only should work great in the Encore and they mean no lube, which is great.

good shooting,
Brian
