Barrel Accessory Program
« on: August 14, 2006, 10:13:19 AM »
I'm starting to get frustrated with them it's been over eight weeks and they still can not tell me when I'm going to see my handi again. How can they expect to due business this way six to eight weeks ok over eight weeks maybe they should tell the customer something?

Anyway I called them and they said they would get back to me, it sounded more like we will call you don't call us. Anybody else have this problem?

Mine went very smoothly.  There is someone that some of the regulars will tell you to ask for.  I think his name is gordon, but can't remember exactly.  I am sure someone will tell us.

Good luck

As Shaner stated, if they're out of the barrel you ordered, you have no choice but to wait, I waited 9 weeks for a 25-06 barrel, while I was waiting, I had em add a .243 Ultra Varmiint barrel to it. You can also email them, their address is in the FAQ and Help along with their toll free number. I've never had any problems with communication with them, they've always been quick to reply and gave me the answer I needed to hear, their CS is second to none, in my opinion. Get short with them and they will return the attitude, they won't put up with it and I don't blame them. ;)

My experience with H&R CS has been top notch. I mailed in my H&R Ultra for a new 223 barrel and trigger adjustment on May 14, 2006. Recieved verification of delivery May 17th, and on June 13th, UPS delivered the the package to my door. Maybe I just got lucky? Heck, they didn't even deposit my check until 2 weeks after I got the rifle back!

I won't make out like thier CS is as sweet as peaches and cream, but I will say they have treated me fair. And I did get my "situation" worked out, to the inconviece of yours truely.
Be short, and specific, and nice, and they will work with you.
Stilll, I could do without the attitude though.

My dealings have been pretty good with customer service at H&R. I would tend to believe your probably experiencing an inventory issue. I hope they get back to you and your barrel comes home soon.

If I found a decent K31 in good shape, I would go ahead and pick it up. They are excellent shooters and the quality is top notch being a Mil.Surplus rifle of old. A great round too. But one to reload for if thats for sure.

Not to mention the coolness factor of finding out who the rifle was issued to originally, by taking off the buttplate. Some have writen to the address and have got responses back from the owner himself who originally carried it. Ask NRAJoe...
