front sight for old model Ruger Single Six wanted

I have an old model Ruger Single Six with 5 1/2" barrel that is missing the front sight. It is just a blade type sight that fits in a slot in the barrel. The usual sources like Numrich's and Jack First don't have it. If any one has one for sale or knows where to get one I would appreaciate it. Thanks. greer

I would advise a call to Ruger customer service. They are usually very helpful and while there have been changes to the singlesix I doubt they affected the sights to any extent. I don't have the number right now(it's here but temporarily not findable) but i've put a link below to their website..

Thanks for the reply. This model just has a blade with no ramp like the newer models. . There is a slot in the barrel that the sight was pressed into, or soldered into. I will call Ruger though. Thanks. greer

The models with fixed sights and the cowboy models still use the half moon type blade sight..
