Is this true
« on: August 17, 2006, 06:56:53 AM »
:DWhy bother with spending the money for a primer adapter, when all you have to do is use 209-4 Remington primers. The 209-4 Remington primer is used to reload 410 shot shells. It has only half the fire of a standard 209 primer.
In the past two mounths I have shot close to 200 rounds useing Remington 209-4 primers with out any flyers. I got this off the web.

Had to find the 209-4 Remington primer. If I am not mistaken they don't make them any longer. Also there are other options for primers now, the Winchester triple 7 primers and Remington kleenbore primers.

But I will tell you, the 25 ACP is a lot easier to handle than a small 209 primer.

The 209-4's have been discontinued for almost two years.

The closest Remington 209 primer to them are the Kleanbores 209s.
