Peep sights

Would a peep or ghost ring sight offer any advantages over the factory Encore sights? I don't really have any problem seeing the factory sights but I haven't hunted with them yet either. It's a 45-70 and will be used for hunting hogs and black bear at an average range of 50 to 75 yards, so I prefer the open sights to a scope.

I have one that i took off my encore kat barrel willing to sell it cheap let me know

Jim,

I just put a set of Williams on my Marlin 45-70. I do like scopes on my varmit guns, but on this gun I figured the longest shot might be 150 yards, and I can see that far. So, I went with the peep sights. I like open sights as well and I like these peeps. I think for the money you will not be disapointed.

Jut make sure you get to the range and practice with 'em.
