270 loads for 15" encore

I am new to reloading would like to know a load that works good for the 270 win. in a short barrel. I am loading 90 sierra hp right now. I was wondering if anyone else is loading them and what kind of groups they are getting at 100 yards. Any info would be helpful.

i just don't see much on the .270 in a handgun. i have shot the .270 in rifle form for eons. only powder i used in it was imr4350. a sierra 140gr HPBT is my favorite bullet for rifle use. i've seen some say that what loads are good in rifle are also good in pistol. when it comes to bullet choice a man needs to be a little more careful though, as some bullets may be too hard to expand at handgun velocities. hows your 90gr hp do? i have had a box sitting on the bench for years that i've never got around to trying in the rifle. "ol PJ" gets great groups with his 30-06, and i see no reason the .270 couldn't do as well. you'll have to do some experimenting and let us in on the knowledge you gain.
