Beeman Crow Magnum
« on: August 18, 2006, 02:58:40 PM »
I was given a new Beeman Crow Magnum I.  It is powerful but it seems to shoot inconsistently.  I think part of it is because of the trigger.  Does anyone know anything about these guns?  Any ideas on how to upgrade the trigger?  Thanks.  Ken

maybe the pellets your useing are too light. some guns like the crow mag can shoot pellets so fast that they go pass 1250fps and will shoot inconsistently.

Thanks for the tip.  I will look for some heavier pellets and let you know how that works!

I would give the Beeman Kodiak pellets a try, rabbits at 65 yds should fall down.

But will they get back up and run off?

I am putting my order in now!

Shouldn't be an issue with that 30 grain pellet inside 65yds, it will go through on broad side hits, but shot placements is still the key. Bunnies have big heads. I turn the power DOWN on my PCP .22cal. I shoot 21g Kodiaks at a measly 650 fps and squirrels tip over with perfect hits and go no more than 10 yds with marginal hits... always full penetration.
www.straightshooters.com  has a large selection of .25cal pellets  I would not waste my time with the hollow points.
