Drilling and tapping a shotgun for a scope

I have a NEF single slug gun in 12ga. 
 I chose this one for the light weight.
 Now I want to put a scope on it,but the only place to drill and tap is on the receiver where the shell goes. I need to know if I drilled all the way through and epoxied the screws in sealing the hole permanately would this be safe to do so. I think it would be ok, but I need some input before I do it. Thank You

This is not a good idea.. Take the gun to a qualified smith and let him mount a base. If you drill into the chamber you will almost certainly have problems and they may be bad ones...

Yep, don't go through the reciever.  I had a smith do the same once, He got, as I recall, about three threads to hole and set the screws with red loc-tite, to never be removed again.  I had a rail base on the back and a raised front bead to make it usable for wing shooting when the scope was removed.
