Gun shop finds
« on: August 19, 2006, 05:37:29 AM »
Don't you just love guys that order stuff and never pick it up , i do . stoped by the local shop last night to look for some bullets and powder for my 223 handi .

The shop owner said he had some 55 grain Hornady V-Max that a guy ordered this spring and never came for and i could have them if i wanted , i said sure , what you got . come to find out he had 10 boxes that i could have for $ 8.00 each out the door .

Also got some CCI small pistol primers that another guy ordered and never came for at a penny apeice . all in all it was worth the trip .

The moral of this story is when you stop by the local shop it does not hurt to ask if they have anything that they want to get rid of .  ;D

That sounds great,

Now I need to run into a deal like that on the 40gr ones. I haven't tried the 55gr ones in mine. What powder are you using for your .223? I have been using H4198 and IMR4895 with good luck so far. I also tried some AA1680, but that didn't work out that well.

Greg

P.S. I forget but your just north of me right? I am just south of Dayton.
