New to Forum-Hello to All
« on: August 21, 2006, 03:48:02 AM »
Just a note to thank everyone for this informative forum.  I was very interested in this semi-auto section since I often hunt with an old remington 742 carbine in 30/06 that my father bought for me in 1963.  I was 14 at the time.      I can't even begin to remember the game that has been taken with this rifle.  This gun has shot factory loads and reloads without fail and will hold a 1 1/2" goupe at 100 yards with a load it likes.  I did loose the dust cover last year , I assume from age.  Other that that I have no complaints.  Hopefully Remington will get all the bugs worked out for the newer rifles.  Good luck to all.
Jim  ;)
