single shot action?
« on: August 21, 2006, 03:39:10 PM »
i have been thinking abt trying to put together a single shot rifle myself from parts
never did anything like this before but i am mechanically inclined and run a mill and a lathe in a machine shop
where can i find a highwall action that isnt gonna cost me an arm and a leg???
is there such an animal??
and where would be a good place to get parts or parts diagrams as i could possibly make some/most of the parts myself???
any help or opinions on this would be appreciated

No such thing as an inexpensive Hi Wall action. It's cheaper to buy a new Uberti Hi Wall, or Taylor's Hi Wall, and then remake it into what you want if you don't like it. Any original Hi Wall action will cost more than an Italian complete gun.
