I just saw a review in American Rifleman of a rifle scope with a 5" eye relief. It was a Leopold, so I would guess it is pricey. This would work for my .223. I would not try it for my heavier rounds. I like my current scopes, but the field of view is small and they are difficult for a newbe to use. I am hoping to see medium relief scopes from some of the less expensive manufactures.

wildatheart,
I don't have experience using rifle scopes on TC's but I do have a lot of experience using high magnification (20x-25x)  rifle scopes on the rear grip MOA Maximum, rear grip Thor (1911 frame) and center-grip XP-100's.
I don't get a full FOV.
Not all of the SP's are braked (6mm-284 & 6.5x57R), but the others (6.5-284's, 284 Win., & 7mm Dakota) are.
There is some inherent danger.
You have to change up your "hold" or shooting style.

I use rifle scopes with up to 8 to 32 power on most of my Big Bore Contenders. Of course, most rounds are downloaded for the 200 meter silhouette competition. But if you want the magnification, you're gonna take one on the nose now and then!
