Simple. I take the 1st patch and wet it in my mouth with saliva. I swab my barrel with the 1st side of the patch, turn the patch over and swab my barrel with the second side. Then, i take a dry patch and do the same. This seems to work extremely well. Bullets have touched each other numerous times, even without a bench type rest. I think the main thing is to get the major fouling out of the barrel. My gun shoots in the same place when its 100% unfired, clean as it does after the swabbing process mentioned above.
