If you were going to but a new barrel in a 25 cal would you buy a 28" 25.06 prohunter Or a 26" 25.06AI from the TC custom shop? And why

I've got a 26'' heavy barreled 25/06 and wouldn't part with it. 120gr hp over a good charge of H4831 or H1000 and I'll get one ragged hole. This is with an unworked trigger also.

I got my PH issue resolved. It was me and not the gun (imagine that!!!) . So, PH has my vote.

But then, I also have a Contender. Last year I bot a "regular" .223 T\C barrel. It's a tack driver.

I dunno....buy what you can afford. The custom shop barrels are nice and you can't go wrong with those.

I don't see the advantage of the 25.06AI  over the standard 25-06. That was my point for going with the PH barrel.  ;D
