In 2001 (I know a little late for a review but I just found this site) my dad booked us a black bear hunt as a college graduation present. It was supposed to be a pack it hunt, we didn't pack in. I shot a bear stone dead with his head laying in bait on the third evening, the guide told me we would go get it the next morning. A bigger bear dragged it off. They never offered nothing in compensation. I called the head man several times and he wouldn't return my calls.
