Pellet Rifle Accuracy Potential

Assuming an average, garden variety "barrel break" .177 caliber pellet rifle, what degree of accuracy should be expected at a range of 25 yards?

well i have not shot a  break barrel in years but my b4-2 use to get 10 shots in a 1''1/2 circle at 20 yards and my croman 2200 can shoot hole in hole at 30 yards when sitting. I have found for me (a 18 1/2 male) that a gun that has a Weight of 5 pounds or more shoots better and move less in my hands.

If you read the break barrel thread you will find the answer to your question. But basically it all depends on the quality of the air rifle in question. Good ones are superbly accurate  ;D.

No simple answer here, I have had a couple that you would be hard pressed to shoot yourself in the foot with, to an RX1 that would shoot under a half inch at fifty yards.   However, a Beeman R, or an RWS 34, 48 etc should have no problem shooting under an inch at 40 yards, if not better.

About a half inch. But a cross wind will make a big difference.
